Taking Good Care Of Your Makeup Brushes

Applying our makeup would be difficult without using our most trusted makeup brushes. Each brush has its own function and yes, they all deserve the same love and care. No matter how durable or how expensive these makeup brushes are, we need to take good care of them like our little babies! Giving them proper care will mean a longer shelf life which can save us money because we don’t need to buy new ones. Let’s face it, brushes have hefty price tags so the longer we can use it, the happier our wallets would be.
Here are some tips on how you can take good care of your precious brushes.

Proper Cleaning
Your brushes are made from delicate bristles and therefore you need to use a gentle cleanser. Brush cleaning solutions are available almost everywhere but if you are on a tight budget, you can use a mild shampoo. Dilute the shampoo with water and let your brushes sit in for a few minutes. Hold your brushes pointing downwards when rinsing with water. Check that the pressure coming from the faucet is not too strong otherwise it can damage the bristles. Lay them on the paper towel until they are completely dry.

Store in a dry place
After using your brushes, keep them in a dry place. Wet brushes will be a good breeding ground for bacteria which can destroy the quality of the brush and this will also cause breakouts and other skin problems when you use them to apply makeup on your face.

Use a brush guard
Ever noticed how beautifully shaped your brushes were when you first bought them? Over time, these once perfectly shaped brushes will be deformed. One technique to keep it in shape is to use your hands to reshape them. Enclosed your fingers around the bristles and apply a bit of pressure downward. You can also use a brush guard to keep your brushes in shape.

  1. You really make it appear so easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really something which I believe I would by no means understand.

It seems too complex and extremely extensive for
me. I’m taking a look forward on your subsequent post,
I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
